I am reading the book, which is excellent, but i noticed what I believe to be an error on page 8:
” … it had fallen under the leadership of his predecessor, Abe Beame, who had been as short … ”
Did not Beame succeed Lindsey? In 1974?
I believe his predecessor was Robert F. Wagner Jr.

Also, on the same page, it states ” … Quill put the city through a paralyzing six weeks without
public transporation … ”
I believe the strike only lasted 12 days …
