Paul Offit on Science Friday
Dr. Paul Offit recently appeared on Science Friday to discuss the recent outbreak of measles, the continuing controversy regarding vaccination and its possible link to childhood autism, and his new book Autism’s False Prophets: Bad Science, Risky Medicine, and the Search for a Cure.
Offit also speculated on why science and the scientific community has had such a difficult time convincing people that vaccines are perfectly safe and why some parents and the media focus on perceived risks despite the wealth of scientific evidence.
