Columbia University Press closed the 1950s with the publication of Man, the State, and War — a book by Kenneth N. Waltz, a young political scientist who would go on to become one of the most highly-regarded figures in the field of international relations. It has been continuously in print since 1959 and remains one of the Press’s best-selling books of all time.
